We are seeing the results of a propaganda and disinformation campaign that was launched some 40 years ago by those heavily invested in fossil fuels and related industries (particularly fthe so-called Koch network). The apparent goals: undermine the public's confidence in government and in science ... and feed the flames of suspicion and resentment between ethnic communities.

This has allowed them to hack away at the regulatory structure that was created to protect the public ... and as long as the have-nots are arguing over issues such as the extent of racism, critical race theory, transgender rights and wrongs, etc., they will fail to see who has been systematically raiding the nation's treasury.

They've done a damned good job.
