One Week in March … Greenland Rejects Trump’s Advances and Vance’s Arrogance

It is worth noting that the good people of Greenland are not wholly opposed to the MAGA movement, despite the yearning of Trump and Vance to swallow them up. In fact, MAGA baseball caps, with a slightly altered message, have recently become a popular item on the island. These hats, incidentally, are also reputed to be in demand in Canada.

This is the second in a three-part series titled One Week in March … The series focuses on the damage done to America’s relationships with Canada, Denmark and Greenland — nations that have traditionally been regarded as firm friends and close allies of the United States, during the week that began on Sunday, March 23rd, 2025. The following discussion centers on President Trump’s insistence that the United States must acquire sovereignty over Greenland, which is currently an autonomous territory within the Danish kingdom.
