LeBron, you have responded three times ro my comments about Trevor Stark's article. "Male Privilege is a Myth." I very much appreciate those who take the time to read my observations and I try to treat them respectfully, even if we strongly disagree. I have done the same with you--despite your tendency to resort to pejorative terms and schoolyard taunts. (I apparently have a "mind virus" which, you imply, may be responsible for leaving me "brain dead." Elsewhere, I must be a 'lunatic,')

You stated that I offered no evidence supporting my contention that males enjoy privilege in areas related to power. I responded with one example which I find instructive (e.g., of the 25 wealthiest persons in America, 21 are male). You then accuse me of labeling "all men with male privilege because of an argument about one tenth of one percent of males."

I am not sure how you came to that conclusion since I am not the first person to recognize the existence of male privilege or to label it as such, and the example cited was just one of dozens that I could have given you. But looking back at your remarks, it occurs to me that you are in all likelihood unfamiliar with the literature and research on this topic.

If you are seeking to influence others, you might want to first educate yourself. I would suggest that you begin by reading a paper written decades ago by Peggy McIntosh, titled, “White Privilege and Male Privilege: A Personal Account of Coming to See Correspondences Through Work in Women’s Studies.”

It is readily available on the internet and is a relatively brief but well-considered introduction to the topic. And as for our exchange on Medium, I think that we have carried it as far as it needs to go.
