It's like a Zen koan ... I have been turning this over and over in my mind for seven years and still haven't been able to tease it apart. How do people that I have known all my life, people that I have seen as decent and intelligent, open minded and caring, come to swallow such utter and transparent hokum? Racism? Sexism? Antisemitism? They profess not to see any of it, and repeat the lies like Stepford wives. After seventy years on this planet, I thought that I had a pretty good grasp of primate behavior. No more!
