Is your assumption that religious belief and pedophilia are inherently linked … or are you simply indulging in click-bait?

When I was 13, I was sexually molested by an a man on my newspaper route who owned an antique shop. Should we now abolish the sale of antiques?

We need to focus on the specific employment situations and opportunities that may logically attract rapists, pedophiles, etc. and ensure that rigorous screening and independent oversight is built into these situations. Positions that require atypical or unnatural sacrifices (such as celibacy) warrant heightened scrutiny and supervision … but “banning” religion is like prohibiting the consumption of alcohol: doomed to failure.
