I visited Pattaya more than 40 years ago, when I was working in Thailand. Memories fade and I really only recall two things--parasailing off the beach, and being ordered by the police to drop down to the sidewalk and lie flat while several limousines swept past us on the street. Only later did I discover that the president of Burma, now Myanmar, was visiting the king of Thailand and the limos were part of a motorcade carrying the two dignitaries to I-know-not-where.

Your article was quite interesting, and I think you have a fair amount of potential as a writer. I did note, however, that you had some problems with spacing between words and that there were a few punctuation and grammatical errors. I am guessing that English may not have been your first language--or perhaps it was not the language that your family spoke at home when you were a young child.

I am retired and have a little extra time on my hands. If you think it might be helpful, I would be willing to proofread your drafts, correct the kinds of errors mentioned above and return the draft to you prior to publishing, at no cost. If you think that might be worthwhile, please let me know and we can discuss the details. If, on the other hand, you think it is unnecessary or would be unhelpful, just ignore my offer. In either case, thanks for this reminder of days gone by!
