I applaud your tolerance, and wish that trait was more common ... there is an old proverb that is worth taking to heart: there are many paths up the mountain to God.

More bothersome to me is his open disrespect for your beliefs--and those of your daughter. That suggests that offending you (and his children) is of little concern to him. Two people with different belief systems can live together in harmony if they both love and respect each other--but that requires each to refrain from attacking or belittling what the other values. He doesn't seem to acknowledge that.
