I am dating a guy who did not identify himself in his profile as a sapiosexual, but told me after we had met that the term probably applied to him. In his view, an interesting conversation with a well-informed, thoughtful person was sexy to him. I assumed that he was trying to pay me a compliment and I took it as such. He is a gentle, reflective person and is familiar with a good many topics that I, too, care about, so I enjoy his company a great deal ... and candidly, he is about the last person that I know who I would accuse of being egotistical.

Perhaps it is different in the straight world, but I am much more frustrated with guys who reveal next to nothing about themselves online. I appreciate any effort a prospective date (or fuck buddy) makes to let me know what I should anticipate for the evening (or afternoon, overnight or weekend).
