First of all, thank you. I have a degree in theology and for a number of years taught comparative religion (high school level) … but your article is the first on this subject that has actually inspired me in a very long time. I am referring to the final paragraph. The only answer that I can give in response to your closing question is “I hope so.” I find no comfort in the nihilism that many are resigned to … and the willful blindness and literalism of contemporary major religions threatens to permanently damage this planet. There has got to be better way.
