Damn, Canada ... you were our shining, northern light ... our reason to hope! You were the country that knew how to be a nation ... avoiding a Civil War with Quebec, treating the First Nations with ... well, better than we did, giving autonomy to the Inuit, and basically being civil to each other (at least much of the time). So what's with the politics of confrontation, the idiotic convoys, the appeasement of the far right? Don't imitate the United States ... we are a runaway semitruck, heading down a steep, mountain path replete with tight curves ... and our brakes have failed. Go back to being what we thought you were--or maybe become that for the first time: a country that takes the time to reason through things together. But please don't copy us ... we have no idea what we are doing or where we are going.
